Laurie Jerue has over 15 years at Alaska Demolition and more than 25 years in the construction and financial sectors. Laurie's expertise has been vital in steering us through the evolving landscapes of our industry. Joining Alaska Demolition over 15 years ago, Laurie brought a rich blend of experience in finance and bookkeeping, deeply rooted in construction and demolition. This unique background has been instrumental in shaping our financial strategies, enabling us to navigate complex economic terrains with agility and foresight. Under her financial stewardship for Alaska Demolition, our Director of Finance has been pivotal in financial planning, management, and decision-making. Her approach, which balances meticulous bookkeeping with strategic financial leadership, has fostered a culture of fiscal responsibility and long-term growth. Under her guidance, we have achieved notable financial milestones, including successful navigations through economic fluctuations and strategic expansions. Shaun has 30-plus years of experience in the environmental and demolition industry including containerized non-hazardous and hazardous waste, asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials, building surveys, inspections, and abatement. Shaun has qualifications and experience to identify and manage environmental, demolition, and excavation projects, identify safety, and health hazards as well as implement engineering and administrative controls, and assign proper personal protective equipment for safe workplaces. His expertise includes coordinating an extensive number of projects throughout the State of Alaska, including hazardous waste transportation and disposal; contaminated soils, bulk soil movements, lab packs; bulk fuel storage tank cleaning, dredging, underground storage tank (UST) removals; demolition, and construction clean-up projects; and major emergency responses involving chemical, petroleum, and disaster containment and site remediation. Shaun is calculated, conscious, goal-oriented, and continues striving to ensure that clients are satisfied with our services.
Kurt has over 25 years of experience in construction and demolition. Kurt provides leadership to position Alaska Demolition at the forefront of the industry. Developing plans to advance the company’s mission, and objectives and to promote value growth as an organization. He fully oversees the daily company functions including the internal staff and operations to ensure Alaska Demolition meets all its targets. He plays a vital role in helping the company remain successful and succeeds in making sure our customer experiences are of high quality. He has also been dedicated to shaping the company in many ways. Kurt is inspired every day by his peers; watching/helping his peers grow personally and grow in their positions to make Alaska Demolition the best it can be. He has experience completing projects with numerous government agencies including but not limited to USACE, NSA, USFWS, USCG, USAF, US Army, BLM, NPS, Alaska DOT, North Star Borough, Municipality of Anchorage, and Bureau of Indian Affairs along with successful completion of projects with many Alaska native corporations. As a man of his word, he wants nothing more than to be sure that clients are left more than satisfied with the entire process of contracting with Alaska Demolition.
Alaska Demolition was founded approximately 30 years ago in the garage of owner Justin Green, today Justin has grown Alaska Demolition to one of the largest demolition companies in the State of Alaska. Alaska Demolition is supported by its expansive demolition dumpster, trucking fleet, and mono-fill landfill. Alaska Demolition prides itself on specializing in projects that are out of the norm, from highly specialized commercial teardown work to natural disaster cleanup, (such as the Nov 2018; 7.2 earthquake), historic renovations, residential teardown, to projects in remote locations of Alaska including the Islands of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim area. Alaska Demolition Company has been successful in the Alaskan economy largely through its ability to handle the waste stream of the construction and demolition process. In addition to adding various lines of businesses that would normally be subcontracted. Alaska Demolition has its very own trucking fleet, abatement team along with environmental division, dumpster container fleet, which is rented to other businesses or private individuals, gravel sales division, and the largest privately owned construction mono-fil landfill site, located in Palmer Alaska. Alaska Demolition also prides itself in the ability to recycle and reuse material from its projects to be used in new construction in addition to the logistics of removing unusable material out of remote locations to be properly processed and has quickly become one of the largest steel recyclers in the state.
Nate has 18 years of experience in the industry. Specializing in industrial and commercial construction estimating, gathering proposals, reading blueprints, specifications, and other related documents. His main role is to perform Business Development functions to generate new business opportunities for the company. Responsible for accurate bidding of public and private jobs. Collaborate with Project Management and Operations to ensure negotiated estimate, scope of work, terms, conditions, exclusions, and clarifications to contract are upheld. He has experience bidding and completing projects with numerous government agencies including USACE, NSA, USFWS, USCG, USAF, US Army, BLM, NPS, Alaska DOT, North Star Borough, Municipality of Anchorage, and Bureau of Indian Affairs. Nate maintains outstanding relationships with all clients throughout the industry. Building our clients up for success is his motivation and priority at Alaska Demolition.
